Total age bias here. If you first got into professional wrestling in the '80s then you'll be very aware of the 'Doctor of Style' Slick, one of a whole host of managers who brought all sorts of personality to the then-WWF. Slick managed Big Boss Man, Akeem, Butch Reed, Hercules and plenty more. Managers were ten-a-penny back then, but the Reverend still managed to stick out.

Looking back, Slick was consistently one of the most entertaining parts of WWE's shows. He was helped no end by his theme, one of the best entrance themes of all time and a song that was perfect for over the top dancing. If you're not familiar with Jive Soul Bro, get your buns to YouTube and fire it up. It is a legitimately great song.

We don't need Slick to come back in a full-time capacity, managing monsters that the resident babyface hero knocks down feud after feud after feud. His time has been and gone. Would we get excited to see him come out every now and then and be the charismatic man we all remember? Hell yeah.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
