10 Non-Wrestlers WWE Or AEW Should Sign

5. Kurt Angle

MLW's Salina De La Renta
WWE

We don't need to see Kurt Angle wrestling in 2021. The Olympic Hero is a genuine all-time great, an elite performer who won everything there was to win and did it in style, an entertainer and then some. Angle's body has been through the wringer and his competitive days should be behind him. It doesn't matter that his last match was a six-minute loss to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. Let it lie, wrestling fans.

Even with his in-ring days behind him, Kurt Angle has so much to give any promotion that signs him up. A man of his experience and talent inspires and educates by sheer presence alone. Angle could be a perfect mentor for any pro wrestler worth their salt. It isn't difficult to imagine Angle working alongside a wide range of wrestlers, from Chad Gable all the way to the aforementioned King Corbin.

AEW is full of veterans working as mentors to young talent, but you can never have enough of the things. Kurt Angle would be a great addition to the fledgeling company, although that should really go without saying.

It is unlikely that we'll see Kurt anywhere other than WWE though, and it won't be a great shock to see him back in the fold sometime soon. Pair him with Samoa Joe and give the world the Samoan Submission Machine again, please.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
