10 Nostalgic WWE Moments That Made Fans Cry

7. Paul Heyman's Passionate Promo At ECW One Night Stand

If there's one thing that wrestling fans love to see, it is real life passion. It is a relatable emotion and it shows that the performers in the ring feel the same way as us in the audience. In the spring of 2005, fans were treated to something very special which they had thought was lost forever. ECW returned. The 'One Night Stand' show was a perfect piece of wrestling nostalgia, with WWE recreating all aspects of the hardcore brand. But what really pulled on the nostalgia tearjerking was an impassioned Paul Heyman promo. The former ECW promoter came to the ring and you could see how much it meant to him. He was already teared up before he started his promo, with the rabid ECW crowd chanting their thanks to him. Because you could see how much it meant to Paul, and because you never imagined you'd see ECW again, this moment really pulled on the tears. Plus, the promo was epic.
"I want you to know that I'm not crying€my eyes are red because I was in the back smoking a joint with Van Dam€ I have a need in my heart to thank Tod Gordon for giving me the chance to be creative and book for you crazy b******s. I have a need to thank that man Ron Buffone and his partner Charlie Bruzzese for sticking with us and sitting in a TV Studio and building that TV show for you€you are the craziest b******s I have ever met in my life€I love every one of you."
