10 Nostalgic WWE Moments That Made Fans Cry

6. Elizabeth And Macho Man Randy Savage Reunite At WrestleMania 7

Miss Elizabeth and Macho Man Randy Savage were one of the best loved acts of the late 80's wrestling boom. They were the ultimate babyface pairing and a genuine couple in real life. Wrestling fans fell in love as well, going along with the romance and following the couple as they rose to the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 4. But by Mania 5, the couple were on the rocks. The Megapowers exploded, with Elizabeth being one of the central reasons to the conflict. Hulk Hogan defeated Savage at the event, thus sending the Macho Man off on a heel run that culminated two years later at WrestleMania 7. At Mania 7, Savage was defeated by Ultimate Warrior, in a result that meant he had to retire. The Macho Man was still heel and managed by Sensational Sherri at the time, but Sherri turned on him and started hitting him after the match. That caused Elizabeth to come from the back and ward Sherri off. The ovation was huge. Elizabeth and Savage then reunited, embracing just as the 'pomp and circumstance' music hit. "Everybody behind us in the whole ringside area is crying," Bobby Heenan exclaimed on commentary. It was true, fans were in tears, as the camera zoomed in for close ups. The whole reunion felt very, very real and the nostalgia for seeing WWE's favourite couple back together was overwhelming.
