10 Most Notorious Batista Urban Legends

1. He Won't Return To WWE Again Due To Acting Career

Story: It's been a huge year for Batista. He was in a starring role in Guardians of the Galaxy, which was one of the biggest movies of 2014. He went from "former pro wrestler that acts" to a bonafide Hollywood movie star thanks to the success of that movie. There are other acting roles looming for him including Bus 657 with Hollywood legend Robert DeNiro, a major part in the Kickboxer remake, a huge role in the next James Bond film called Bond 24 and he's got other Marvel films lined up including Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in a couple of years. In other words, he doesn't really need to wrestle anymore because he's in his mid-40s with other jobs lined up. Why risk his health by bumping in a wresting ring when he doesn't have to? When Batista was originally booked by WWE earlier in 2014 the plan was for him to come in for about five months, leave to go promote Guardians and come back around SummerSlam time. Then he never come back. Now there are questions of if he will ever come back. It's all a matter of what you believe to be true. Why People Believe It: There's really nothing for him to do in WWE since he's won everything and headlined every show, so it makes sense that he would never wrestle again. Should We Believe It: Since it's not based on something in the past like most other things on here, it's a tricky one. This is more of a prediction, but it does seem likely that he is ready to move on from the wrestling business for good. When he left WWE in June the quitting angle was done with the idea he'd be back in a few months, yet he's never mentioned anymore. It's safe to assume that we have seen the last of Batista in a WWE ring. Then again, in the wrestling business we know to never say never.
