10 NXT Rookies WWE Called Up Too Early

6. Mojo Rawley

Mojo Rawley won some admirers earlier this year after a starring role in WrestleMania 33's pre-show battle royal, but more than six months later it seems to have done little to elevate him beyond the status of jobber.

It seems obvious, today, that Rawley could have done with some more time down in Orlando. He's a former aspiring football player who made the transition to the squared circle in his mid-20s - that's no easy feat, and he's a long way from being the finished article.

But three years in NXT was deemed to be enough by the corridors of WWE power, who appear to have a habit of fast-tracking handsome, muscular guys to the top of the show, however inexperienced they may be in the ring.

There's a good wrestler in there somewhere, in all fairness, but it may take a complete repackaging for the 31-year-old to ever make real his dreams of reaching the top of the card. He's just been made to look like a joke one too many times.
