10 NXT Rookies WWE Called Up Too Early

WWE would probably argue that Jason Jordan got his main roster call-up at precisely the right time, in that he was able to make a handful of SmackDown appearances - in turn becoming familiar to the casual audience - before being outed as Kurt Angle's long-lost son.
It's difficult, however, to ignore the gaping holes in Jordan's skill-set. He's clearly a gifted athlete, capable of putting on decent if not exactly hugely memorable performances in the ring, but those mic skills need big-time work.
At the moment, he comes off so whiny and entitled that it's virtually impossible for anyone to get behind his efforts to emulate his old man's success, which is sort of a problem given that the WWE hierarchy currently seems intent on pushing him as a clean-cut good guy.
As for Chad Gable, the highlight of his main roster run so far was probably that Smacking Talk segment with Daniel Bryan, which tells you all you need to know. The Shelton Benjamin tag team is going nowhere, and every week that he doesn't appear on SmackDown is another that could have been spent honing his craft down in the developmental ranks.
