10 NXT Stars Vince McMahon Will DESTROY On WWE's Main Roster

2. Velveteen Dream

This one hurts the most.

Velveteen Dream is the most must-see wrestler in NXT today. Watching him iron out his rough edges to become a fully-formed performer over the past few years has been a joy, with the former Patrick Clark blossoming since that TakeOver bout with Aleister Black. He is both an excellent sports entertainer and wrestler. His in-ring resume stronger than most developmental counterparts and he possesses several traits that can't be taught, with his charisma, star power, and ability to project personality all at an elite level.

This should make Dream one of the NXT wrestlers best equipped to survive the Raw/SmackDown grind. He is, theoretically, but there's no chance Vince McMahon understands what makes his flashy, ostentatious gimmick successful.

Vince will water Dream down to a dismal degree, turning this well-developed character into a caricature. His creativity stifled, the 23-year-old will succumb to the same fate as any other black-and-gold star who has ever shown ingenuity in Triple H's playground, with scripted promos and lame, formulaic TV matches removing all that was once special about him. The internet will be furious.
