10 NXT Stars Vince McMahon Will DESTROY On WWE's Main Roster

Street Profits NXT TakeOverXXV

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford's NXT Tag Team Title win harked back to the developmental brand's glory days, when unfinished ground-up Performance Center projects were springboarded to the top in big, propulsive TakeOver moments as well-executed as they were choreographed.

Triumphing in TakeOver: XXV's crazy ladder match has made the Street Profits. An outstanding finish saw Dawkins spear Wesley Blake through the ladder before Ford springboarded onto it, knocked Steve Cutler down, and seized the straps. It drew a monster pop, and their celebration with the crowd (and their red cups) felt like an organic star-making moment.

This should be the start of something special for the Street Profits, whose developmental journey has harked back to those undertaken by the likes of Bayley and American Alpha back in the day. Their run with the belts should be delightful. The likes of Undisputed Era, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, and Moustache Mountain should make for compelling opponents, but woe betides them whenever they hit Raw or SmackDown.

Vince McMahon despises tag wrestling. That's the first reason to be concerned, and there's every chance he'll have seen their high-energy TakeOver entrance and decreed them a dancing comedy act, too.
