10 NXT Stars Vince McMahon Will DESTROY On WWE's Main Roster

1. Johnny Gargano

Vince McMahon has already botched Johnny Gargano's main roster run once, and there's little doubt he'll do it again whenever he decides that the former NXT Champion's time in developmental is done for good.

'Johnny Wrestling' was part of the disastrous pre-WrestleMania call-up spree that brought Ricochet and Aleister Black to Raw and SmackDown. He and bitter rival Tommaso Ciampa were reunited as tag partners for no reason other than "just because," despite their impending TakeOver: New York clash. McMahon took a big, steaming dump on NXT canon and only Ciampa's crushing neck injury saved Gargano from dying a dismal main roster death.

Currently operating at an inexplicably high level, Gargano has built his "best wrestler alive" case with a long series of blockbuster TakeOver epics. Such performances wouldn't be permitted on the big show, and at 5'10", 198lbs, the 31-year-old isn't even close to Vince's traditional main event mould. He'd either become "just another guy" on Raw or SmackDown or a 205 Live bit-parter trading headlocks with Ariya Daivari and Brian Kendrick, making his one of the most depressing falls from NXT's dizzying heights.
