10 NXT Superstars That Will Struggle On WWE's Main Roster
9. Hideo Itami - Trouble With The WWE In-Ring Style
When he came into NXT, Hideo Itami was hyped as the promotion's biggest acquisition. At the time that was certainly true as the former KENTA had built a name for himself as one of wrestling's greatest and toughest talents before joining NXT in 2014. Since then, though, Itami has struggled to find his former self. While he has been a participant in good NXT matches, fans are still waiting for Itami to put on that one great performance that equals those that made him one of the most respected wrestlers in the world. Although he was getting closer to that point before his injury, the truth is that Itami struggles with the traditional WWE match style that emphasizes big moves over the slow-burning, stiff wrestling that he spent most of his career performing. That's a problem that is just going to get worse on the main roster as Itami will find even less opportunity to work the 15-20+ minute style matches that he thrives in. With his shoulder injury shortening the time he has to learn that style as well as potentially shortening his career in general, his chances of making an impact on the main roster are growing more and more slim.
