10 Obscure WWE Royal Rumble Records

7. Most Time Spent In Winning Rumbles

Recordholder: Steve Austin, 70:43

Again, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the man who won three Royal Rumbles also has spent the most time in those winning matches, with Steve Austin clocking in at one hour, 10 minutes and change.

But what might surprise is that two wrestlers are within five minutes breaking that record despite winning one fewer Rumble: Randy Orton spent 69:22 winning the 2009 and 2017 Rumbles, and Edge tallied 66:07 in prevailing in 2010 and 2021. And of course, Rey Mysterio clocked in at 62:12 when he won the 2006 Rumble.

Spending a lot of time in the Rumble in a winning effort is not a requirement – several wrestlers have won with less than 10 minutes of work, including Edge, Triple H and John Cena. In fact, Batista made it a cottage industry, winning the 2005 and 2014 Rumbles with just 25:26 of total ring time.
