10 Obscure WWE Tag Teams You Totally Don't Remember

6. Kenzo Suzuki & Renee Dupree

Well now, this was a strange pairing.

WWE's writers must've blindfolded a member of the creative squad, pinned some wrestler names to a wall, handed them darts and asked if they could hit a couple. Apparently, two darts landed on Renee Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki. That's the only reasonable explanation for why they started teaming at all.

Late-2004 was a curious time for the company. Everyone was kinda scrambling around in the dark looking for something/anything that'd catch fire, but this random Dupree and Kenzo alliance was realistically never going to cut it. The fact they received a run as WWE Tag Champs perhaps speaks volumes about the state of the division back then.

This writer recalls fast-forwarding through the pair's matches and segments when re-watching episodes of SmackDown in '04. Renee and Kenzo had no chemistry together, and they were clearly only teaming because WWE had nothing else for them individually.

Another trivia question answer at best.
