10 Obscure WWE Tag Teams You Totally Don't Remember

7. Tekno Team 2000

The world was obsessed with how futuristic and space-age the year 2000 sounded before calendars turned. This wasn't something exclusive to the 60s-70s either. Hell, Tekno Team 2000 didn't debut on WWF telly until 1995, which was a mere five years before the millennium. That'd be like Tekno Team 2028 debuting today.

We'll be driving flying cars by then. You watch.

Travis and Troy (played by Chad Fortune and Erik Watts respectively) downright sucked. Fan interest wasn't piqued by their garish silver outfits, or by the idea that Tekno Team had beamed in from the future to dominate federation tag bouts. It was one seriously lame idea, and it's no shocker they've been forgotten about.

Mere months into their run, the duo was flushed back down to the USWA for more seasoning. The WWF brought them back up, but that second stint was even less fruitful than the first. Watts went on to claim that the team were in line for a tag title win. Surely not.
