10 Observations From Attending WWE Glasgow Live

9. Asuka Took An Age To Come Out

Something must have happened backstage before Asuka's entrance. After being introduced by JoJo, the Raw newcomer took a good 2 minutes to appear in front of the crowd. That dampened the reaction she received somewhat; after cheering wildly for 30 seconds or so, the Glaswegian crowd quietened and gave Asuka only a modest pop when she did show up.

Maybe she wasn't ready, but it's rare for such gaffs to happen in the tightly-controlled world of WWE. A far more reasonable explanation would be a card reshuffle at the last minute. Throw the slight language barrier into the mix and there's a chance Asuka didn't realise she was supposed to be out first.

Several minutes was far too long, especially for the first match on the card. There were no other slips like that for the rest of the show, and it was quickly forgotten once Asuka danced down the aisle. She did hurry her step however, suggesting that making fans wait wasn't part of the plan.
