10 Observations From Attending WWE Raw Live

9. Jericho-Styles IV: A New Hope

Prior to the Chris Jericho-Zack Ryder match, some pre-Raw footage was shown where Jericho vowed that he would not give AJ Styles the satisfaction of a potential WrestleMania moment at his expense and, by extension, he would not wrestle him at the show of shows. Okay, pretty cut and dry. When Jericho faced off with Ryder, though, Styles came down to the ring and started a "Y2Jackass" chant that threw Jericho off his game and allowed Ryder to pick up a quick win with a roll-up. Jericho quickly hit Ryder with a Codebreaker (just in case he'd gotten over at all from the win), then grabbed the microphone and angrily agreed to face Styles at the show... and that was it. Jericho didn't have anything up his sleeve, nor did he challenge Styles to a stipulation match in order to try and teach "The Phenomenal One" he should be careful what he wished for. He simply and lazily agreed to the match after not wanting it two minutes earlier. Let's hope the bout gets enough time to deliver in the ring, because this is one 'Mania match that's going to be defined by the action, not the buildup.
