10 Observations From Attending WWE Raw Live

5. It Was Easier This Time

In a minutes-long match that only served as a prelude to a staredown with Ryback, United States Champion Kalisto defeated The Ascension's Konnor. The Ascension has been completely buried since making their main roster debut, and this - the first Raw match for either member of the team in over a month - was no different. Not only did Kalisto easily manhandle the larger Konnor, but he was able to fight off interference from Viktor. In short, he dominated both men in under two minutes. It was a far cry from NXT, where the fearsome Ascension became the longest-reigning Tag Team Champions in brand history. At just one day short of a year into their reign, though, Konnor and Viktor lost the titles they had made their own to none other than Kalisto and Sin Cara. The Lucha Dragons picked up the victory at NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way, and it took a bit more effort that night than it did for Kalisto on Raw.
