10 Occupational Gimmicks From WWE's PG Era

4. Paul Heyman - Advocate

You get the impression that there isn't a whole lot of difference between Paul Heyman the onscreen character and Paul Heyman the person. Heyman performs on WWE TV as the official advocate for Brock Lesnar, a role he has filled since The Beast Incarnate returned to the company in 2012.

Heyman is delightful in the role, excelling in his sole purpose of hyping up his product and making people pay money to see him do what he does best. It isn't exactly a common occupation but an occupation it is, and there is no better advocate than Paul Heyman.

Ryback, Curtis Axel, Cesaro, and others may disagree, but I don't see Brock Lesnar complaining.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
