10 Odd One Out Wrestling Champions

9. Rick Steiner And Judy Bagwell

In his legendary teaming with his brother Scott, Rick Steiner wasn't a stranger to teaming up with partners on the more bizarre side of life. Still, even Rick must have been shocked when he learned replacing his injured and released Tag Team Co-Champ would be Judy 'Mother of Buff' Bagwell.

While a rather out of the box mind game tactic against his rival, having to take on tag teams with a non-wrestler on the apron, it makes something close to sense in the wacky confines of sports entertainment. The storyline was halted without capitalising on the curiosity when Steiner was forced to take time away from the ring due to injury. The vacant championships were won by Curt Hennig and Barry Windham at SuperBrawl IX. Perhaps things worked out for the best in terms of fan enjoyment, though in retrospect there is a certain camp B-movie charm to watching this era of WCW.

It is worth noting that Judy never lost the championship and held the WCW Tag Titles in the same year as the likes of Sting, Kevin Nash, and The Giant. Although unlike those wrestlers, she thankfully never held the company's top prize.
