The AEW TNT Championship, at only approximately 18 months old, doesn't have the same vast lineage as the other titles that make up these lists. Yet, of the current holders of the TNT Championship Darby Allin is the outlier, having never previously held a WWE mid-card championship.
The inaugural holder Cody Rhodes held the Intercontinental Championship on two occasions, Brodie Lee held it once, and Miro held the United States Championship on three occasions. We'll leave internet comment sections to debate whether Darby Allin will accomplish this retroactively.
Rather than be a slight, this could be spun as further evidence that Allin is an AEW original who stands out among talent whose most notable employment was with WWE. But again, that's a discussion best for rabid comment sections.
Allin is the current longest-reigning TNT Champion, holding on to the belt for 186 days. While not wanting to reduce a championship to a prop, his run did what a midcard championship should and established Allin as a star. His reign, as well as his unique look and innovative offence, has cemented him as a talent to watch.
