10 Oddest WWE Storylines Of The Attitude Era

2. The Kennel Of Death

WWE.comWWE.comThe Al Snow/Big Boss Man rivalry had the single oddest and darkest storyline the WWE ever implemented into a feud. Let me set the scene: Al Snow used to bring a cute little dog called pepper to the ring. He used to talk to the dog and claim it talked back to him. OK, you still with me? Big Boss Man decided to kidnap Pepper and said Al Snow could have the dog back if he beat him in a hardcore match? Still here? Let's keep going. When Al won the match Bossman still kept the dog but said he would give the poor thing back if Al Snow came to an apology dinner that Boss Man would cook himself and they could talk their issues out like men. Al Snow agreed and Big Boss Man fed Al Snow his dog Pepper at the dinner. He cooked the dog. Then he fed the dog, to Al Snow. Well that's all kinds of unusual isn't it? To make matters worse this plot climaxed with the absolutely god-awful Kennel from Hell match at Unforgiven 1999. A match that consisted of a steel cage inside of a cell with the gap between the two occupied by "wild dogs" and the object being to escape both. Already a stupid idea, problems arose further when the supposedly 'wild' dogs acted incredibly docile towards the wrestlers and instead chose to do what dogs do best - treat everywhere as there own personal toilet and hump each other.
