10 Oldest World Champions In Wrestling History

10. Diamond Dallas Page - 44 Years, 19 Days

Date: April 24th, 2000 Event: Nitro Age Of Champion: 44 years, 19 days Page is one of the rare wrestlers that didn't get off to an early start in his career. He wasn't debuting as a 22-year-old rookie, winning his first midcard title at 24, and then winning his first World Title at 26. He was 35 when he made his in-ring debut for WCW, was 39 when he won his first title (United States) for the company, and was 43 when he won his first World Title. Not quite conventional. As one of the few bright spots in the final couple years of WCW's existence, DDP had a lot to carry on his shoulders. The company rewarded him by giving him three WCW Title reigns, the final of which came here, on an episode of Nitro. Unfortunately, this match is memorable for a few reasons that aren't the greatest in the world. For one, the match itself lasted about five minutes, which is pretty ridiculous for a World Title match inside of a Steel Cage. Two, it was the sixth time that the WCW Title had changed hands in 2000. Again, look at the date... April hadn't even come to an end when Page won the title here. Making it even worse, the title would change hands a whopping 13 more times before 2000 came to an end. Finally, and perhaps worst of all, Page would drop the title the very next night at the Thunder taping. The person who won the title on that fateful night? None other than David Arquette. The less said about this, the better.
