Despite being in his 55th year, Vince McMahon featured in the main event of three WWF pay-per-views in the final year of the 20th century. One of these was a handicap match, a bout that saw him team up with his son Shane to take on Stone Cold Steve Austin at King of the Ring. The other two make it to this list.

The final PPV of the 20th century was Armageddon, a show headlined by Mr. McMahon taking on Triple H in a No Holds Barred match. This was the match built around one of the most famous angles in the history of the company, where Triple H had seemingly got Stephanie McMahon immensely drunk and married her in the process.

With the marriage and #1 contender position on the line, the 30-year-old Triple H and 54-year-old Mr. McMahon battered each other intensely, the younger man eventually picking up the win when it turned out Stephanie was in on the marriage the whole time.
