10 On-Screen WCW Couples You’ve Totally Forgotten

9. Sherri Martel & Robert Parker

This is a more wholesome love story. OK, not really, but did you expect anything else when WCW shoved loudmouth southern "gent" Robert Parker together with screaming 'Scary' Sherri Martel? In 1995, the pair suddenly developed feelings for one another like they'd been set up by Cilla Black on Blind Date.

That's a dated reference, but then WCW of 1995 is a dated product.

Bookers inserted a twist to the tale when Madusa got mad that Parker was strutting around with another woman. Yes, years before she started going for boyband lookalikes, Madusa was apparently married to the Colonel. That's a wrinkle WCW couldn't be arsed with though, because they wanted to focus on the hilarity of Sherri and Robert.

Together, the pair managed Harlem Heat together for a spell and couldn't keep their hands off one another around ringside. Honestly, there was sometimes more grappling going on outside the ring during Heat matches than within it.
