10 Once Awesome WWE Storylines Which Overstayed Their Welcome
7. Roman Reigns Vs Baron Corbin
In reality, most Baron Corbin feuds drag on far longer than they need to. This one, however, was the definition of a doozy.
Roman Reigns had never had a major program with Corbin and it presented a fresh match-up. Reigns, despite what some believe, has the ability to bring the best out in many a wrestler, and the first match between 'The King' and 'The Big Dog' wasn't horrible by all means. Their clash at TLC was merely a classic big man slugfest that was above average.
Then dog food got involved.
Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, The Revival, and The Usos were all dragged into it and for the next three months, the two parties clashed over who could dump the most amount of dog food on the other. The matches became boring, slow, and unengaging affairs that always went ten minutes too long.
The whole thing was capped off with a sleepy Steel Cage encounter, amongst an even sleepier Saudi Arabia card. The rivalry was ended and Reigns went on to challenge Goldberg, whereas Corbin, well he just stuck to doing boring Corbin things.
The whole affair was really a waste of time for all involved, especially the poor Revival. Unfortunately, one of the best tag teams in the world had this as their last major program before being finally granted their release and sent off to far better things in the land of the All Elite.
