10 One-Off Wrestling Tag Teams We Wanted More Of

4. Randy Savage & Ric Flair

No matter what promotion it was, the overall intensity of a show picked up whenever Ric Flair and Randy Savage walked along the same hallways. For years, the two legendary performers were treated as bitter (and oftentimes jealous) rivals, who went as far as to take advantage of their significant others in the name of getting the upper hand. With that in mind, pairing up the two men should have been a big deal.

Sadly, it really wasn't treated that way during their 1996 feud in WCW, as the tag team match was given less than five minutes. It was 'Macho Man' alongside 'The Nature Boy' as they took on Arn Anderson and Eddie Guerrero. Hearing the names aloud did leave many to wonder why WCW never did more with it in hindsight.

The match came together thanks to damaged friendships, forced alliances, and a mostly meaningless tag team tournament. Despite the marquee value of such a bout being tossed to the side, it still received 3 1/4 stars from the Wrestling Observer and had a few moments to make it memorable, such as the trading of cheap tricks between Flair and Guerrero.

Overall, though, it would have been nice to see both future WWE Hall of Famers tag up at least a few more times to create a rare showing of their collective star power within the professional wrestling bubble.
