10 Original WrestleMania 34 Plans WWE Had To Change

6. Sasha Banks Vs. Bayley

Had Sasha Banks vs. Bayley been confirmed for 'Mania, it would have become the first ever non-title, one-on-one women's match in the event's history that didn't carry a stipulation of some sort. Though that would have been refreshing to see, their match has been axed and both have been announced for the Women's Battle Royal instead.

This is a bit of a strange one, admittedly, because WWE didn't have to scrap initial plans for a singles bout between Bayley and Banks. Now, their interesting tale of friendship-turned-sour will be lost in the shuffle as part of the Battle Royal.

It seems WWE believed there would be too many female matches on the show had they pressed on with Bayley vs. Banks; add that match to the line up and 'Mania 34 would boast no less than five matches laced with women. Surely that's a good thing amidst an era determined to present a "women's revolution"?
