10 Outdated WWE Tropes That Need To Go Away
7. The Police Van/Car/Vehicle
It’s bad enough when WWE superstars seem to have the power to commandeer ambulances, it’s that much worse when they do the same with bloody police vans.
Usually it begins with a segment where a face Superstar gets arrested as a result of going after some heel despite being warned not to do so by the authorities. Then, later in the same night usually, the said arrestee makes their triumphant return to the show, driving the very same vehicle on which they were carted off.
Did the police just let them borrow one of their vehicles because the wrestlers had forgotten their wallet and thus couldn’t afford an Uber? Did they actually steal the damn thing? In which case shouldn’t the cops be coming back to arrest them again?
It’s one of those things in wrestling where you just have chew on your logic and then swallow it. But unlike some of those other things like people teleporting or summoning lightning bolts, this usually doesn’t have any pay off in terms of making a segment good.
