Its not entirely clear what the actual kayfabe intent of the stunner is but normally people sell it as a sort of knockout blow even though all the pressure seems to be on the throat. Regardless of what the move would actually do to you, performers have sold it in a remarkably consistent manner over the years. Aside from the Rocks brilliant oversell at Wrestlemania XIX highlighted in the last overselling article, most performers had a pretty standard response where they would be sprawled out with their eyes closed like they had beenstunned (duh). McMahon though, went a different way. This was probably to emphasise the power of the move and to also emphasise the fact that because he wasnt a wrestler, the move would hit him particularly hard. However in the end he just looked like a fish who had just been pulled in from the ocean, with his eyes wide open, and his body flopping around in wild convulsions.
