Out of all of Vince McMahon's outlandish ideas, his most crazy plan may have been the shoot fight he wanted against UFC president Dana White. "He wanted to do that one time. Vince wanted to fight me. Swear to God, he called me up and said, `Let's do it. We can either do it in the UFC or let's do it at WrestleMania.' And I said, `You are crazy. I always said I respect Vince and I'll say it again. I respect Vince very much, but Vince is too old to be fighting." White revealed in 2013. The suggestion was first made back in October 2010. McMahon envisioned the fight taking place at WrestleMania 27 in 2011, where he was also trying to book UFC headliner Brock Lesnar for a match against The Undertaker. Perhaps the Vince vs Dana idea came up as part of those Brock negotiations. From Vince's perspective it would certainly have done solid box office to promote a WWE Vs UFC storyline, with the MMA group being king of pay per view in that period. Despite White being 24 years younger than Vince, the WWE Chairman genuinely believed it would have been a competitive fight. The reality is it would have been the ugliest and most unnecessary WrestleMania main event ever.
