Taking a knee during the national anthem was a movement started by NFL players in protest of violence towards black citizens by the police – much to the ire of incumbent president, Donald Trump.

Only recently, The New Day's Big E spoke out against Trump, claiming he wouldn't accept an invitation to The White House from him. How could Big E really stick it to The Commander In Chief? By interrupting the national anthem at an opening of WrestleMania, accompanied by his New Day team mates, and taking a defiant stand (or should that be knee). This would send social media into meltdown and supply Vince with the mainstream attention he so craves.

It could also be a breath of fresh air for the faction, and serve to silence any critics they have who find their pancake tossing antics juvenile. The trio would scrap the jokes and smiles to adopt a deadly serious, activist gimmick, where they rage against the machine and the man (McMahon). Kofi Kingston can even call out the company for making him wait so many years for a shot at the WWE title and place a spotlight on other current and former minorities who have competed for the McMahon empire who lacked opportunities.

New Day could rebrand themselves as the Black Panthers – reminiscent of the actual activist group - and also cash in on the title of the popular Marvel blockbuster.
