10 Pay-Per-Views WWE Must Bring Back For Brand Split 2016

8. World War 3

World War 3 was WCW’s answer to The Royal Rumble. The event was highlighted by a gigantic, ungodly, 60-man battle royal. A sea of humanity filled with sweat and spandex, where in the chaos it was hard to tell Konnan from Lex Luger. It was awesome.

In the match, when enough people were knocked out of the ring, they’d all then meet in the center one, and battle it out to the death (or over the top rope still...I can’t remember which) for the chance to march right on into Starrcade and challenge for the World Title.

Since the Rumble already fills the role of big, annual number one contender match in WWE, World War 3 could have a different reward. Perhaps a shot at the Intercontinental Title, or a nice trophy, or $100,000, or a house! Or yeah..maybe still a world title shot.

A return to World War 3 would also be a great event to give some NXT wrestlers a chance in a major event, and a nice opportunity to bring in some stars from the past. This is what the Glacier's of our world were made for, and they are now sadly under-employed!

War Games may not ever lead to a match of the year candidate, but it’s a spectacle unlike anything else we’ve seen in a long time. And hey, spoiler alert for my own article, but if WWE isn’t willing to set up three rings for one of their pay-per-views, maybe they could settle for two.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
