10 Pay-Per-Views WWE Must Bring Back For Brand Split 2016
5. Return To England
It’s a bit of a wonder how a pay-per-view hasn’t returned to England already. Years ago, WWE held a few shows in the country like Rampage, Rebellion and Insurrexction. More recently, they ran a well received NXT Takeover special, that sold out the arena in Wembley, complete with a rabid fan base inside. But still, the country isn’t getting much love when it comes to a main roster pay-per-view. What is it going to take?
WWE could create a lot of goodwill with their English fans by airing an actual big show there, one with real storyline ramifications, and not just put on a glorified house show. I mean, at one point, the “W” in WWE stood for “world”, but almost nothing of consequence happens in the shows shot outside of the United States.
Despite so many fans in England, they can’t spare one of their approximately 25 annual pay-per-views to air there?
