If the dirt sheets are to be believed, Rusev currently has a ton of heat on him thanks to Lana making their engagement public knowledge, while the Ravishing Russian may be pursuing new acting gigs after falling foul of WWE officials. Assuming for a moment that there's no truth to all that, once again pairing these two up should be a priority for WWE Creative given how they faltered when separated in recent months. There's obviously already a lot of history between Zeb Colter, Rusev, and Lana, but Alberto Del Rio would be an interesting new player to throw into the mix. Throw in the fact that Rusev recently talked about wanting WWE gold, and these two being set on a collision course does seem like a logical next step (unless the Bulgarian Brute really is being punished; if that's the case, he's likely to be left without direction for a while). Del Rio and Rusev is another fresh match up pretty much no one ever expected to see, and pitting these two formidable WWE Superstars against each other with entertaining mouthpieces Colter and Lana in their respective corners has all the makings of a fun storyline. Seeing these two go at it in the ring is also undeniably intriguing.
