10 Perfect WWE Matches For A Returning Roman Reigns
8. Sheamus
The last time someone seemed to get the kind of mega-push Roman Reigns is getting, was the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. When Sheamus showed up on the scene, it was obvious that he had the full support of WWE and would be a main eventer in no-time. He ran roughshod through WWEs ECW and was quickly called up to Raw where he essentially murdered Jamie Noble and Brogue Kicked the face off Jerry Lawler. Less than a month after his Raw debut, he was WWE Champion after defeating John Cena in a table match. Sheamus and Roman Reigns have had very similar early careers in terms of the support theyve recieved from the office. As soon as Roman Reigns went solo from The Shield, he was thrust straight into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture with headlining matches at Money in the Bank and Battleground. While Reigns seems to be a main event fixture, Sheamus has fell down into the mid-card. Part of Sheamus problem is that hes been a babyface for so long. Hes essentially the John Cena of the mid-card, and he wont be able to rise back up to the main event in that role. Hes long overdue for a heel turn, and running him against Reigns would be beneficial for both men. Reigns already has big wins over established stars like Randy Orton and Kane, and a feud with The Celtic Warrior could add more credibility to Romans solo career and revitalise the ailing career of Sheamus.
