Vince Russo's TNA run was almost entirely destructive, but at least it was funny. The former WCW booker's dedication to the banter can never be denied, and while Russo probably thought the bulk of his dumbest creations were legitimately good ideas, they were usually hilarious for all the wrong reasons.

The Reverse Battle Royal was one such idea. Initially devised for the 2006 'Fight For The Right' tournament, the stipulation saw 18 wrestlers start on the outside of the ring, all trying to work their way back inside. It featured some of the dumbest wrestling psychology you'll ever see, too. Grown adult males suddenly forgot how to clamber into a ring, creating a series of bizarre spots in which wrestlers either traversed ringside in slow motion, or were totally hypnotised by the ring itself, so contrived was the idea.

The first one took place on a random episode of Impact, and the concept was revived for Bound For Glory 2007. Both incarnations were totally awful, of course, but you'd need to completely lack a sense of humour to not laugh at veteran wrestlers like Billy Gunn and Road Dogg struggling with the complex concept of climbing into a ring.
