10 PG Wrestling Feuds That Felt Like The Attitude Era
9. AJ Lee Vs. Paige
This feud had all the tools to be the next Trish Stratus vs. Lita of this generation, but it failed miserably. Her first night in WWE, Paige made history when she ended AJ's 10 month title reign and became the youngest Divas champion to date. Sadly, it was all downhill after that: their matches never found a rhythm, didn't meet the lofty expectations set by fans, and they just never clicked. Instead of focusing on their desire to be the best, their feud saw them tease being lovers and fake being friends, and that was about it. For that reason alone, the feud didn't live up to its full potential, but stuff like this was par for the course back in the Attitude Era and would have fit right in. No matter how sad the state of women's wrestling gets at times these days, always remember that it was ten times worse 15 years ago. The women were props with a division being nonexistent; it was shameful. Entertaining, sure, but times have since changed. The rivalries featuring the ladies of the Attitude Era were memorable for all the wrong reasons, and the same can be said for AJ vs Paige.
