10 Plot Holes On Every Episode Of WWE RAW

8. Feeding The 20,000 (With 200 Tacos)

On Monday, Curt Hawkins arrived to resume his intermittent losing streak gimmick, the very premise (but mostly duration) of which is a plot hole in itself. Hawkins is a genuine liability or, at the very least, a performer who habitually contradicts the word seared into our brains every Monday night: "Opportunity."

Roman Reigns has received too many opportunities. Jinder Mahal hasn't received enough! Baron Corbin hasn't received enough. Elias wants the opportunity to challenge for the Intercontinental Title. In WWE, the "opportunity" is currency with which to batter Kurt Angle around his poor, beleaguered head. Angle is naturally flummoxed when determining who is deserving of these opportunities, since the halfwits under his charge tend to win and lose and win and lose arbitrarily.

Decidedly undeserving of opportunities is Hawkins, who promised the thousands-strong arena crowd tacos in the event of his imminent victory. A couple of hundred tacos. All but telegraphing the outcome with this pointless use of props, few were surprised when Baron Corbin ended the premature celebration. Fewer still cared.

Though specific to this week's episode, WWE's use of props is pathetic. Ladders materialise from thin air ahead of Money In The Bank, effective weapons one could use to preclude a rival from "building momentum" but don't at any other time of year because it's all just a phoney inconsistent nonsense we are apparently too thick to grasp without these mysterious visual cues.
