10 Plot Holes From WWE History You Probably Missed

9. CM Punk New Nexus

WWE.comWWE.comIn July of 2011 CM Punk propelled himself to megastardom with a worked-shoot promo, now famously referred to as his 'Pipe Bomb.' And while it would make his feud with John Cena the most captivating program on WWE television in years, it also marked the end of Punk's tenure with David Otunga, Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty and Mason Ryan, all of whom formed the New Nexus. In the weeks between the Pipe Bomb and Money In The Bank, The Second City Saint was seen wearing Nexus T-shirts and armbands, but he never actually appeared with his stablemates. Following his re-signing with the WWE and his ascension into the main event, he was completely disassociated with the group. His relation to the New Nexus was completely swept under the rug, never to be mentioned again by announcers or fellow performers, and the faction would fizzle out soon-there-after. Punk's involvement in the group came after his leading the Straight Edge Society, and wasn't even discussed in his Best In The World documentary - a sure sign that he himself didn't think much of the angle.
