5. Tough Questions About The Current Product And Its Content
Austin has made it perfectly clear on previous episodes of The Steve Austin show that he is not too big of a fan of the current WWE product. What better person to air your grievances to then, Steve? This is Austin's chance to be the mouthpiece of the WWE Universe and press Vince for the answers to the questions we have been wondering for years now. We'd have to start with broader strokes, why was the decision to move to PG rated programming taken, could we expect a return to The Attitude Era, ever? It would be interesting to hear Vince's thoughts on which era he prefers and which, monetarily, has been the most successful. This could also give the boss a platform to let us know of any famous, more raunchy examples that landed him in hot water with the broadcasting authorities. There are issues with WWE's programming too. Many feel Raw is too long with too many ad breaks while many more feel SmackDown is now redundant. Many, including Cesaro, are sick of seeing the same feuds played out and questions have been raised as to the point of holding events such as Hell in a Cell due to the lack of dangerous spots and blood. Is PG ruining wrestling? This area especially could prove to be soft-balled as Vince is still the be all and end all in the company, what he says goes. He still has the final say on all WWE main roster programming so getting him to comment about issues in the here and now could prove to be difficult.
