10 Positive Signs Going Into WrestleMania 33
9. The Show Is Unpredictable
Both in and out of kayfabe, this year’s WrestleMania is wildly unpredictable.
Roman Reigns, the company’s persistently pushed ‘top guy’ is facing the most decorated WrestleMania competitor of all time, a guy who was so dominant he was given the gimmick of being literally undead. Conventional wisdom says 'Taker walks out the winner, but with rumours circulating that he’s planning to retire, and WWE’s modern booking patterns in the back of our minds, Roman Reigns could just as easily be the victor.
The same goes for Jericho vs. Owens, Aries vs. Neville, Rollins vs. Triple H, Orton vs. Wyatt, and a lot of the other matches on the card too. While you might give the edge to one of the competitors listed above, it’s impossible to say and justify exactly why X should beat Y or vice versa.
Then we have the Women’s title matches, which have been made even more unpredictable through the addition of more opponents.
Fans will probably come away from the event saying “I knew Reigns would win” or “They were never going to let Jericho retain the belt”, but as of right now, we’re all pretty clueless as to what WrestleMania 33 has in store for us.
