10 Positives Heading Into WWE Clash Of Champions
7. Bayley’s Debut
Which leads us nicely onto our next point, because one of those competitors in the Triple Threat match for the Raw Women’s Championship is of course the brands’s most recent graduate from NXT; Bayley.
After months and months of waiting in the wings, including a one-off cameo appearance at Battleground back in July, Bayley finally made her official switch to main roster duties the very next night after SummerSlam. Making up for lost time, she’d soon score wins over both Dana Brooke and Charlotte (in non-title action) to put herself in pole position for a shot at the belt.
A brief change of plans then saw Sasha Banks win a number one contender’s Triple Threat match, before Bayley was later re-inserted into the match to bring us to where we're at today.
Regardless of how they got there though, the good news here is that finally Bayley is on the main roster, and furthermore she finds herself in the top-of-the-card spot she deserves to be in.
Add to that the fact that her involvement in the Charlotte vs. Sasha program is likely to raise the match quality even further, and I think it’s fair to say it’s positives all round for this one.
