Of course, Bayley’s isn’t the only debut that we’ve seen in the weeks leading up to Clash of Champions. This past week, we also saw the much-hyped arrival of the newly-revamped Cruiserweight division which will be exclusive to Monday Night Raw.

Having emerged victorious in the Cruiserweight Classic, TJ Perkins will head up the division, which is set to include an awesome cast of Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, Gran Metalik, The Brian Kendrick, Lince Dorado, Noam Dar and potentially many more.

Plus, four of those names - Swann, Alexander, Metalik and Kendrick - did battle this week in an excellent contest to determine the number one contender to Perkins’ title at this Sunday’s Clash of the Champions show. That match of course saw The Brian Kendrick come out on top to earn himself a shot at winning his maiden singles title in WWE at the ripe old age of 37.

Sure, it may not have been presented in quite the same way as the Cruiserweight Classic had been, but for the fresh faces this provides us with, the resultant match that those four put together and the excitement this development promises for the future, this one’s arguably another massive positive heading into Clash of Champions.
