10 Positives Heading Into WWE Clash Of Champions

Switching from the men’s to the women’s division, we’ve also seen a fairly intriguing dynamic develop between the Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte and her protégé Dana Brooke.

After being paired together back in May of this year, and as is so often the case in pro wrestling, the cracks in this alliance are slowly but surely starting to show.

The most recent instance of this disharmony came during this past week’s showing of Monday Night Raw where Dana Brooke (apparently trying to help the situation) inadvertently gave Mick Foley the inspiration to place Charlotte in a Triple Threat match at Clash of Champions, as opposed to her previously planned singles contest. Nice one, Dana.

Charlotte responded with an angry shove, leaving her partner in a heap on the ground.

So it seems like they’re trying to get some sympathy on Dana, which could be a bit of an uphill battle, but at least it’s something of a fresh direction. Much like the aforementioned Universal title scene, this adds an interesting sub-plot to the Raw Women’s Championship bout, and that’s without even addressing the rest of the competitors in the match yet.
