2. Rich Swann

If you aren't familiar with Rich Swann, you really need to be. Many wrestlers enter the business after tough upbringings and tragedies, but Swann's story is particularly inspiring, for want of a better word.

Swann was born in Baltimore in 1991, and when he was just 14 years-old his father was murdered. His mother died a few years later, and Swann (understandably) fell in with what is generally described as a 'rough crowd'.

Swann started using cocaine, but had a fairly sobering return to reality after the guy who introduced him to the drug died of a heart attack, aged 18. Swann decided there and then to stop using cocaine, and with a little help from his aunt managed to get clean and finish high school. Less than two years later, he was making his debut for CZW.

If we're after an emotional story, Rich Swann is the odds-on favourite to win this whole thing. If we're looking for someone currently signed to the company, Swann fits that bill. If we're after someone who is one heck of a talent with hordes of charisma to boot, heck, Swann comes with that also!

In fact, Rich Swann is the favourite for the whole thing for me. Well, at least he would be, if this next guy wasn't involved...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
