10 Potential WWE WrestleMania 36 Opponents For John Cena

2. Matt Riddle

This could only happen if recent stories of Vince McMahon's annoyance are greatly exaggerated. If the boss truly dislikes Matt Riddle's outspoken nature, then it won't. However, if McMahon wants to use it to his advantage and book a WrestleMania-worthy program around it, then he should seriously consider the following.

John Cena, top class WWE representative and all-round company man, would realistically be p*ssed at Riddle's antics too. That, in some sort of weird turn of events, could lead Cena to stick up for Brock Lesnar (a man the NXT star is desperate to retire) and show some heel traits by actively holding Riddle down.

Oh, the faux-reality of it all. It'd be powerful stuff.

The more rebellious fans out there would rally behind Riddle, and some MMA-elements fused into the physical scuffles between both men would feed that sense of defiance from an audience who feel pro wrestling main events have moved on from Cena's style. This has legs. Serious, serious legs.
