10 Potentially Awesome WWE Feuds Which Failed To Deliver
1. Seth Rollins Vs. Bray Wyatt
Some might say that the reason this feud flopped so hard was that The Fiend was inserted into the World Title scene way too early, a sentiment that yours truly also agrees with. However, there is no escaping the fact that this feud absolutely stunk up television screens every week.
The Fiend was the hottest new thing on the scene and Rollins was riding high coming off his conquering of Brock Lesnar. On paper it seemed like a match that would produce magic between the ropes. The build-up was sub-par with the same attacks occurring every week, but fans hoped that the pair would make up for it in a fiery Hell In A Cell encounter. When it came, the whole thing was just bizarre. The cage was bathed in dark red lighting which made it almost impossible for anyone in the stands to see through the already dark red cage. Not only this but we got Seth Rollins hitting Wyatt in the head with anything he could find. Did Rollins vanquish The Fiend? Did Wyatt make a paranormal comeback? No, Rollins was somehow disqualified, in a match where one of the main selling points is that there are NO DISQUALIFICATIONS!
After this, there was no going back. The whole thing was so bad that it turned Rollins heel in the eyes of the fans. Thank God that the company caught on otherwise we wouldn't have the godsend that is the Monday Night Messiah (pardon the pun).
