Now here is a feud that could have stolen the whole damn year in 2016. Sadly, a combination of an unmotivated Brock Lesnar and an uninspired creative team let this ball drop.

When Dean Ambrose stepped up to the Beast and challenged him to a No Holds Barred match of all things, fans everywhere went absolutely nuts. If this was handled right, there was no doubt that it was going to be the match of the night. At this point, every fan knew about Ambrose's past as the violent Jon Moxley, leading them to anticipate a bloodbath in the middle of AT&T Stadium. To be fair to WWE, this was never going to happen, so the fans overhyping the potential violence did play a factor in the downfall of this match.

However, WWE did commit the dastardly act of teasing us all with different hardcore legends showing up on Raw every week to offer their signature weapons to Dean. We could have gotten thumbtacks and Mick Foley's Barbie Bat; they even teased Barbie and Chainsaw Charlie in the actual match! Instead, we just got kendo sticks, steel chairs and a whole lot of German suplexes.

The now once-more Jon Moxley has gone on record many times about how many ideas he pitched to Lesnar, Heyman, creative and Vince McMahon, but nobody seemed interested. Sadly, this wasn't the first instance of Dean Ambrose's ideas being ignored.
