10 Precise Moments TNA Was The Best Wrestling Show On Earth

5. Sting & Hulk Hogan Roll Back The Years

The post-mortem on Bound For Glory 2011 exposed the diseased guts of an organisation that had passed its prime and remained under the control of several tired legends that could not salvage it. It complicated the analysis when one of those legends somehow managed one last magic performance on the show itself.

The Philadelphia crowd went f*cking insane for the Sting and Hulk Hogan's semi-main for control of the company. 'The Icon's victory returned the reins to Dixie Carter and away from Hogan's evil regime. The drama didn't end there either - Hogan gradually babyfaced himself within the body of the match (by design, thankfully) before officially turning in a post-match nostalgia kick as enjoyable as the bells and whistles bout itself.

It came just days removed from Hogan bodying Bobby Roode's summer-long story ahead of a title loss to an injured Kurt Angle in a p*ss-poor main event. 'The Hulkster's comments were to foreshadow Roode's defeat and eventual heel win over new Champion James Storm weeks later, but this was yet another major had it/lost it moment for the company. As a villain, Roode told everybody he was 'The It Factor'. As a babyface, he'd actually shown it.
