10 Precise Moments When WCW Careers Ended

5. Eric Bischoff

In retrospect, the battle between WCW's 'Millionaire's Club' and 'New Blood' was another hackneyed attempt to squeeze yet more magic from the ancient WCW vs. nWo story. It was just packaged up in a slightly different way and presented as something totally fresh when it...really wasn't.

Eric Bischoff was visibly disinterested by mid-2000 too, and has since said that he hated working alongside Vince Russo; appearing as New Blood leaders together on TV was bad enough for Bisch, but suffering through creative meetings with Russo was torture for the guy.

The former nWo figurehead's long TV run came to an end on the 12 June Nitro. There, he pretended to be upset that DDP was quitting. After that, Bischoff was only mentioned in passing during backstage skits - most of them had Ernest Miller talking to Eric on the phone.

Eric did try to buy WCW before it folded in 2001, but couldn't beat Vince McMahon to the punch.
